David S. Bullock is a degreed Mechanical Engineer with several years of pedigree corporate experience. He spent two years at Mobil Oil Corporation (1988) as a professionally trained Sales Engineer, Assistant to the Chief Engineer, and Certified Tribologist (Industrial Lubrication Engineer). David went on to work extensively with the E I DuPont (1990) company for three years where he initially held the position of Maintenance Engineer responsible for the equipment installation and maintenance bulk continuous fiber mechanical operations within manufacturing. He then held the position of Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for textile manufacturing. Shortly thereafter, he entered the DuPont Field Program for Executive Training with his next assignment as a Statistical Process Control Engineer for Lycra manufacturing. Lastly, he moved into the automotive manufacturing segment as a Senior Paint Process Engineer on special assignment within General Motors (GM) responsible for daily quality control as well as the upgrade from liquid paint application to power base coating for the GMC Blazer and Jimmy automotive models.
During his time at GM, David was introduced to FANUC Robotics for paint processing. He became so intrigued by the possibility of automation that he took a position at FANUC Robotics as a Paint Process Engineer and became a world class robotics programmer. His innovative programs were used at Mercedes, Honda, BMW, Nissan, General Motors, Pontiac, Cadillac, Range Rover, Ford, Ferrari and Chrysler. As a result, David’s work was influential throughout the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Europe. While still working in an engineering capacity, David created the initial prototype for the Integral Regulator Dispense System which later was patented.
David’s final corporate position was as the International Account Manager for transplant accounts at FANUC Robotics. In this position, he was responsible for non-domestic accounts throughout the Southeast US Region functioning as Sales, Service and Project Manager for Nissan, Honda Manufacturing, BMW, Mercedes and Hyundai as well as their first and second tier suppliers. David, while remotely stationed, built the territory from $300,000 to over $325,000,000 within a seven year period and was awarded single sourcing status for FANUC from Nissan. Subsequently, he was awarded the International Sales Award from FANUC Ltd for his innovation and ingenuity.
In 2004, David left the corporate structure to become an independent business owner. He delved into the Taguchi Method for Process Optimization and applied this methodology to online sales conversion and marketing optimization. David designed and created software to facilitate the methodology and introduced the technology to the internet marketing space. Consequently, he is considered an expert in the following internet traffic modalities 1) Pay-Per-Click (where he was the technical editor of the first edition of Adwords For Dummies), 2) Search Engine Optimization, and 3) Search Engine Marketing. While in the internet marketing space David worked with over 200 online businesses as an sales optimization consultant.
In 2008, he co-authored the book Barack Obama’s Social Media Lessons for Business which outlines the use of social media during the historic digital campaign of former President Barack Obama. The book highlights how these strategies can be used in business to reduce customer acquisition costs through increased influence and social exposure. Additionally, this book was considered recommended reading during the first digital asset utilization course at the Wharton School Of Business. As part of the self-promotion of his book, David learned the leveraging points of exposure by creating over $500,000 of PR exposure in publications such as Inc Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, The Tennessean Newspaper, The LA Times, and Fast Company in addition to over 40 speaking engagements both domestic and internationally.
David then pivoted once more to take on roles in executive leadership within startup companies to assist in building their digital infrastructure. As Chief Marketing Officer, David built the initial software platform and developed the strategic positioning for The Nurse Company (now OnSomble) as they evolved from a social network for nurses to a core competence assessment platform used by hospitals nationwide.
David then took on a role in telecommunications as Chief Technology Officer of Global Interxchange, LLC (GIX) (2015) where he assisted the dark fiber installation company with equipment specification, project management, system designer, web master support as well as overall project funding.
David has also presented a TEDx Talk in Wilmington DE in 2015.
David is a founding member of Midco Advisory Group, LLC (2018) which was created due to the marketplace need and observation that many projects and concepts require a business infrastructure wrap around in order to be profitable. The primary premise is to assist the CEO of the project or concept to realize an effective and scalable business enterprise based on Midco’s evaluation and recommendations.
As a MidCo advisor (2019), David took on the role of Digital Strategist for ViaClean Technologies, LLC. There he supervised the construction of the e-commerce platform for consumer products, deployed an affiliate program and provided the planning for the consumer product launch. As the market shifted toward the need for better solutions for public and private hygiene, David shifted into an independent business development role with ViaClean by becoming a Distributor of their antimicrobial product line. He advanced in the janitorial chemical supply segment, as well as, the hospitality and restaurant segments. In doing so, he noticed that the thinking around private and public hygiene in the age of “superbugs” was fundamentally flawed.
In November 2019, pulling from his experience in chemistry, logistics, distribution, and territory management, he began to construct the infrastructure for an all encompassing service offering that would fully combat the looming threat of hard surface contact contamination starting with our school systems. As this plan was coming into play, COVID-19 exploded onto the world stage. Thus accelerating the need for this new process and methodology to be fully deployed. In this capacity, David developed strategic relationships with Coca-Cola and international janitorial networks to provide exposure of the ViaClean offering.
During the 2020 Pandemic, David worked as Project Manager with Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County to manage an inventory reduction project. David planned and implemented the sort, sale and export of goods housed within a 360,000 square foot storage facility packed to capacity with excess donations. This project included all aspects of project/business management: visioning, onboarding, personnel, training, payroll, equipment management and sales.
